Privacy Policy

VeganDigest ("we", "us") publishes free editorial content at https://vegandigest.com. This policy explains what data is collected when you visit, who processes it, and the choices you have. We don't sell your personal information.

What we collect

We don't run user accounts and we don't ask you to sign up. The data involved is:

• Analytics data:via Google Analytics 4, we collect aggregated, mostly anonymized usage data (pages viewed, approximate region, device and browser type, referring site). We use this to understand which guides are useful.
• Advertising data:we display ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technology to serve and measure ads (see "Advertising" below).
• Article ratings and feedback:when you rate a guide or click "Was this helpful?", we store the rating value and the page it relates to. This is anonymous; we don't attach it to your identity.
• Email you send us:if you email us, we keep that message to reply and follow up.

Cookies and consent

We use Google Consent Mode. Until you consent, analytics and advertising cookies are set to a denied state and Google adjusts its behavior accordingly. For a breakdown of the cookies used, see our Cookie Policy.

Advertising

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold, and to object to certain processing. Because we don't maintain accounts, we hold very little that identifies you. To make a request, or to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as defined under the CCPA, email hello@vegandigest.com. We do not sell personal information for money.

Children

VeganDigest is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Data retention and security

Aggregated analytics are retained per Google's defaults. Ratings and feedback are stored on Cloudflare's edge infrastructure. We use HTTPS across the site.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
